Leading from the Front
Respected. An Iraq veteran and current Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, Sean served seven years on active duty, earning the Bronze Star, four Meritorious Service Medals, and more. His frontline experience and strong leadership earned him top appointments in the military, Pratt & Whitney, and eventually as the Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs.
Honest. Sean rose through the ranks at East Hartford’s own Pratt & Whitney. Responsible for overseeing Global Ethics and Compliance, Sean made sure Pratt applied the same ethics and values that guide us here in Connecticut to their work worldwide.
Driven. The son of a working class Irish immigrant, Sean got his first job at the age of 15 as a dishwasher at Beefsteak Charlie’s. He worked his way up, helping his family pay the bills—and he remains willing to roll up his sleeves and do the hard work to give us all a fair shot.
